About:

Riffle NW, once a vibrant addition to Portland's Pearl District, offered a unique "catch-inspired" dining experience, captivating the city with its opening. This sustainable seafood eatery, which boasted 75 seats, showcased a menu with the freshness of the ocean being at the forefront, complemented by craft cocktails and a selection of locally-focused wines. Speaking of cocktails, Riffle NW was the first restaurant in the US to own a Clinebell Ice Machine, which created 10lb blocks of pure ice, where were then broken down with chainsaws, creating an ambitious hand-carved ice initiative. Emphasizing the concept of a "riffle" — a term familiar to fly fishers — the eatery was all about celebrating the Oregon Coast, a spot near and dear to the Portland community.
