Meet your mentor

Jen Quist's remarkable journey through the hospitality industry spans over two decades, defined by entrepreneurial vision and a talent for transforming concepts into profitable ventures. With a BA in Communications from the University of Washington, Jen transitioned from San Francisco real estate and tech into the culinary world via The French Culinary Institute in New York City.

Relocating to Portland, Oregon in 2010, Jen's entrepreneurial journey took flight with the opening of Riffle NW, a critically acclaimed sustainable seafood restaurant. Her operational expertise was further demonstrated as the Director of Operations at Davis Hospitality Group, where she played a pivotal role in launching the Multnomah Whiskey Library and The Green Room, catapulting them to consistent financial success, while also earning widespread recognition, with their three-time semi-finalist status at the prestigious Tales of the Cocktail awards, as well as features in The New York Times and Food & Wine Magazine.

Her consulting success led to a partnership with Provenance Hotels as Head of Restaurant & Bar Development, followed by the creation of Holler Hospitality. As the hospitality arm of NBP Capital—a real estate investment platform with a portfolio market value exceeding $1 billion—Holler Hospitality launched the acclaimed Woodlark Hotel projects. These included Esquire's "50 Best Restaurants" honoree Bullard, and Time Magazine's "100 Places to Visit in the World" recipient Abigail Hall, achieving profitability within their first year while revitalizing Downtown Portland's hospitality scene.

She then founded Wishwell, a consulting venture that has seen immediate and dramatic success. Recent achievements include launching Bend's smash hit Hawkeye & Huckleberry Lounge—marking celebrity chef Brian Malarkey's return to Oregon—while simultaneously spearheading projects for upcoming hotels in Hood River and The Dalles. She also led sales strategies for Oregon's beloved Cascade Spirits, home to brands such as Wild Roots, Broken Top Whiskey, and Sun Ranch Vodka. Through Wishwell, Jen continues to provide comprehensive consulting services across all facets of the hospitality industry, from concept development and operations to marketing and strategic growth, proving that the possibilities for innovation and success in hospitality—in Oregon and beyond—are limitless.

Beyond hospitality, Jen is a certified Integrated Nutrition and Fertility Coach, inspired by her personal health journey. She resides in Bend, Oregon with her chef husband, their daughter, and two pups, where she continues to make impactful contributions to both the hospitality and wellness industries.
